R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Deputy Constable Alfonso Fuentes of Hidalgo County
  Precinct 4 and his K9 partner, Max, are being recognized as the
  Canine Detection Team of the Year by the Texas Narcotic Officers
  Association; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1970, the Texas Narcotic Officers
  Association is a professional training organization for police,
  prosecutors, and other officials who are involved in the
  enforcement of drug laws in the State of Texas; the TNOA Canine
  Detection Team of the Year award recognizes exceptional skill,
  dedication, and effectiveness in the field of narcotics detection;
  and
         WHEREAS, Deputy Constable Alfonso Fuentes began his career
  with Hidalgo County Constable Precinct 4 in 2015, and four years
  later, he became a task force officer for the Hidalgo County
  district attorney's High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task
  Force; his many responsibilities have included executing felony or
  federal arrest warrants, engaging in pursuits, and establishing
  probable cause; in addition, he and K9 Max have conducted numerous
  searches of vehicles traveling along highway corridors in Hidalgo
  County, and in fiscal year 2022, several of their traffic stops led
  to the disruption of drug trafficking operations; and
         WHEREAS, Through his commitment to the highest standards of
  his profession, Alfonso Fuentes has helped promote public safety in
  the State of Texas, and he and Max are truly deserving of this
  prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Deputy
  Constable Alfonso Fuentes and his K9 partner, Max, on their
  selection as the Canine Detection Team of the Year by the Texas
  Narcotic Officers Association and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued success with their important work; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Deputy Constable Fuentes and K9 Max as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
