| WHEREAS, Andrew Joe Lopez of Katy is celebrating a | ||
| significant milestone in his life in 2011, when he graduates from | ||
| Taylor High School; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During his years at Taylor High, Mr. Lopez has | ||
| played center on the Mustangs football team; he has also attended | ||
| the engineering and architecture program at the Miller Career and | ||
| Technology Center, and he hopes to apply the knowledge he has gained | ||
| while pursuing a degree at Louisiana State University, where he has | ||
| been accepted into the school of engineering; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Lopez is active in the congregation at | ||
| Crosspoint Community Church; in addition to participating in the | ||
| Christian Leadership Group, he has mentored younger members, | ||
| provided child care, and helped to feed the homeless through the | ||
| church's outreach ministry; the son of proud parents Julio and | ||
| Gracie Espinoza, he is the oldest of four children; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this | ||
| outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and | ||
| friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with | ||
| promise; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Andrew Joe Lopez on his graduation | ||
| from Taylor High School and extend to him sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Lopez as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
