| WHEREAS, Members of the North East Bexar County Democrats are | ||
| gathering on May 7, 2015, for their annual Dining with Democrats | ||
| fund-raiser; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since its founding, this noteworthy organization | ||
| has been guided by faith in freedom, democracy, and principles of | ||
| good government; its members are committed to supporting the right | ||
| to vote and expanding participation in the electoral process; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The organization seeks to ensure that all Texans can | ||
| reach their full potential; accordingly, it promotes broader | ||
| opportunity through policies that advance quality public | ||
| education, affordable health care, meaningful employment, clean | ||
| air and water, and prosperity; it also works in behalf of secure, | ||
| tranquil communities and a safety net for the most vulnerable; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through their dedication to the concept of honest, | ||
| ethical government that fairly serves the public interest, the men | ||
| and women of the North East Bexar County Democrats are making a | ||
| lasting difference in their city, state, and nation, and they may | ||
| take justifiable pride in their contributions; now, therefore, be | ||
| it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby honor the North East Bexar County Democrats on | ||
| the occasion of its 2015 Dining with Democrats event and extend to | ||
| its members sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
