| WHEREAS, Gene Buckner ably served as Real County commissioner | ||
| for Precinct 3 for eight years, and his efforts and dedication in | ||
| public office are indeed deserving of recognition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, First sworn in as a commissioner in 2009, | ||
| Mr. Buckner demonstrated a deep concern for his community as he | ||
| worked tirelessly to address the needs of his fellow citizens; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An alumnus of Texas State University, this esteemed | ||
| Texan studied agricultural business and management, and today he | ||
| runs a ranch as well as another business enterprise, Camp Wood Self | ||
| Storage; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During his tenure on the commissioners court, Gene | ||
| Buckner continually sought to advance the well-being of Real County | ||
| residents, and he may indeed take pride in all he accomplished; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby honor Gene Buckner for his committed public | ||
| service and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, | ||
| be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Buckner as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
