| WHEREAS, Aubrey Hoooper was elected to the DeSoto Independent | ||
| School District Board of Trustees on May 14, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Members of the DeSoto school board work closely with | ||
| parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned citizens to | ||
| foster a supportive and challenging environment at district | ||
| schools, and in so doing, they are helping to provide nearly 9,000 | ||
| young Texans in South Dallas County with a strong academic | ||
| foundation on which to build a bright and prosperous future; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor in which all | ||
| citizens have a stake, and as a newly elected trustee of DeSoto ISD, | ||
| Mr. Hooper is accepting an important responsibility and setting an | ||
| inspiring example of community engagement; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Aubrey Hoooper on being elected to | ||
| the DeSoto Independent School District Board of Trustees and extend | ||
| to him sincere best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Hooper as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
