| WHEREAS, Alvin Gipson has served with distinction as | ||
| Democratic Party precinct chair of Precinct 1003 in Fort Bend | ||
| County; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their | ||
| party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better | ||
| state and nation for current and future generations; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, | ||
| citizens must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs | ||
| play an important role in the election process; the efforts of these | ||
| dedicated community leaders to inspire voters to support their | ||
| parties' candidates are part of a proud and vital tradition in our | ||
| state and nation; and | ||
| WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity | ||
| to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy | ||
| toward promoting the Democratic Party goals of representing the | ||
| interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities, | ||
| and advancing a more inclusive society; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Alvin Gipson for serving as Democratic | ||
| Party precinct chair of Precinct 1003 in Fort Bend County and extend | ||
| to this public-spirited individual sincere best wishes for the | ||
| future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Alvin Gipson as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
