R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Robstown High School head baseball coach Elias
  Vasquez recorded his 300th win with the Cotton Pickers on April 18,
  2023; and
         WHEREAS, Coach Vasquez attained the milestone victory in a
  matchup against Bishop High School; the Cotton Pickers triumphed
  13-1, lifting their coach to a new level of success in addition to
  clinching a berth in the 2023 University Interscholastic League
  playoffs; and
         WHEREAS, A former Robstown player, Coach Vasquez went on to
  graduate from Texas A&M University-Kingsville; he first joined the
  Robstown High faculty in 1996, and he currently serves as a social
  studies teacher in addition to his responsibilities as baseball
  coach; and
         WHEREAS, In reaching the 300-win plateau, Elias Vasquez has
  furthered the legacy of athletic success at Robstown High School,
  and his achievements and continuing leadership are deeply
  appreciated by the entire Cotton Picker community; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Elias Vasquez on recording his
  300th win as coach of the Robstown High School baseball team and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Coach Vasquez as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
