WHEREAS, Constable Carl M. Bisbee of the Nueces County | ||
Constable's Office lost his life in the line of duty on July 6, | ||
1925, and his service and sacrifice will not soon be forgotten; and | ||
WHEREAS, An officer with three years of experience in the | ||
department, Constable Bisbee was attempting to arrest a group of | ||
men alongside his partner, Deputy Constable R. R. Bledsoe, when the | ||
suspects drew handguns and fatally shot both constables; at the | ||
time of his death, he was survived by his wife; and | ||
WHEREAS, Our state and nation benefit immeasurably from the | ||
courage and commitment of law enforcement professionals such as | ||
Constable Carl Bisbee, who willingly place themselves in harm's way | ||
each day to safeguard the lives and property of their fellow | ||
citizens; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life and exemplary service of | ||
Constable Carl M. Bisbee of the Nueces County Constable's Office. | ||
