R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Xanthe Alexis Shirley celebrated a significant
  milestone in her life when she graduated from Texas A&M University
  in December of 2012; and
         WHEREAS, A student in the College of Agriculture and Life
  Sciences at Texas A&M, Ms. Shirley earned a bachelor of science
  degree cum laude with a grade point average of 3.55; she plans to
  pursue a career in entomology, focusing on biological control; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Shirley participated in the Entomology Scholars
  Society and two agricultural honor societies, Alpha Zeta and Gamma
  Sigma Delta at A&M; in addition, she has gained valuable experience
  in public service as an administrative aide in the office of State
  Representative Dwayne Bohac during the 83rd Texas Legislative
  Session; and
         WHEREAS, A source of great pride to her parents, Allen and
  Christina Shirley, Xanthe Shirley may indeed reflect on her
  academic career with a sense of accomplishment and look forward to a
  future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Xanthe Shirley on her graduation
  from Texas A&M Universi
  ty and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Shirley as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
