R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Katie Gleghorn
  has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of
  State Representative Raul Torres; and
         WHEREAS, In her role as an intern, Ms. Gleghorn has gained
  firsthand knowledge of the governmental process and experience in a
  political environment, as well as insight into the issues facing
  our communities and our state today; in addition to answering and
  logging constituent calls, she has analyzed insurance-related
  legislation, and her positive attitude and professionalism
  contributed greatly to the efficient operation of the office; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Gleghorn was born in Abilene and attended high
  school in Georgetown, where she was active in tennis and
  competitive cheerleading; she went on to study political science at
  St. Edward's University, serving as vice president of Phi Alpha
  Delta Pre-Law Fraternity; starting in May 2011, this talented young
  woman will be attending Baylor Law School; and
         WHEREAS, Katie Gleghorn has brought skill, dedication, and
  enthusiasm to her work for House District 33, and it is most fitting
  to recognize her for a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Katie Gleghorn for her service as an
  intern in the office of State Representative Raul Torres and extend
  to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Gleghorn as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
