R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Jean May
  Keller of Arlington, who passed away on January 6, 2011, at the age
  of 46; and
         WHEREAS, Born on April 20, 1964, Ms. Keller graduated from
  Cedarville University in Ohio with a bachelor's degree in biology
  and worked as a medical technologist until her marriage to the
  Reverend Joseph A. Keller; while they were living in Columbus,
  Ohio, she taught a high school level biology course that provided
  lab experience to homeschooled students; and
         WHEREAS, The couple eventually became the proud parents of
  six children, Hannah, Rebekah, Ruth, Naomi, Deborah, and Daniel,
  and Ms. Keller devoted herself to their education; she shared her
  love of science and nature with them, and among the many homeschool
  activities she arranged were field trips to parks, libraries, zoos,
  museums, and a fishery; moreover, she took her family to hunt
  fossils at Benbrook Lake and Lake Texoma and showed the youngsters
  how to identify and organize the items in their collections; and
         WHEREAS, An avid horsewoman, Ms. Keller frequently took her
  family riding; she engaged her children in such interesting hobbies
  as scrapbooking, and she introduced them to the democratic process
  through work on a political campaign; in addition, she was a loyal
  fan of the Dallas Stars hockey team and would cheer for them at
  games until she grew hoarse; and
         WHEREAS, Giving generously of her time and talents, Ms.
  Keller taught Sunday school at Christ Covenant Church; she also
  organized the girls' ministry, led counseling sessions for women,
  and planned campouts for the congregation; and
         WHEREAS, Jean Keller will be deeply missed, but memories of
  her steadfast dedication to her family and faith remain to comfort
  those she left behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jean May Keller and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Reverend Joseph A. Keller; to her daughters, Hannah,
  Rebekah, Ruth, Naomi, and Deborah; to her son, Daniel; and to her
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jean May
  Keller.
