R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Lee Coy
  Smith of Groveton, who passed away on April 7, 2013, at the age of
  80; and
         WHEREAS, Lee Smith was born to Arch E. Smith and Rosa Eloby
  Evans Smith on June 8, 1932, in Trinity County; answering his
  nation's call to duty, he served with the U.S. Air Force during the
  Korean War; and
         WHEREAS, For many years, Mr. Smith worked as a printer and a
  newspaper editor for Polk County Publishing Company, and he was
  active in his community as a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars,
  the Lions Club, and the Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, While his death has brought great sorrow to all who
  knew him, Lee Coy Smith will forever be remembered with admiration
  and affection by those who were privileged to share in his love and
  friendship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lee Coy Smith and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Ivor Smith; to his sons, Gerald Lee, James Richard, and Wesley
  Emitt Smith; to his daughters, Vanessa Woods and her husband,
  Johnny, and Angel Smith; to his sister, Audrey Reeves; to his
  grandchildren, Jake and Leeland Smith, Kaleb Harris, Kylee
  Lawrence, and Karlie and Kaycee Smith; to his mother-in-law, Ivor
  Lorine Fannie; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lee Coy
  Smith.
