H.R. No. 209

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Irene Garza retired as a wastewater operator with
the City of Rockdale on December 19, 2014, drawing to a close an
outstanding tenure that spanned 17 years; and
WHEREAS, A lifelong Rockdale resident and former employee of
Community Bank and Trust, Ms. Garza began her work with the city in
1997; among her duties, she performed critical testing that helped
to ensure safe water for local residents; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan has rendered admirable service
to the citizens of her community, and she may reflect with great
pride on a career well spent as she embarks on the next exciting
chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Irene Garza on her retirement from
the City of Rockdale and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
