R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Trent Harris has been presented with an Outstanding
Award from the Student Support Services program at Texas A&M
University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, Student Support Services is part of the university's
Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which
furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to
low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in
receiving an Outstanding Award, Trent Harris was recognized for his
notable academic achievements; and
WHEREAS, A native of Rockport, Mr. Harris is a senior at
TAMU--CC, where he is completing the requirements for a bachelor's
degree in biology; after graduation, he plans to pursue a career
working with animals; and
WHEREAS, Trent Harris is indeed deserving of this prestigious
honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with promise; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Trent Harris on his receipt of a
Student Support Services Outstanding Award and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Harris as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
