| WHEREAS, Mistura Adebayo has been presented with a Rising | ||
| Star Award from the Student Support Services--STEM program at Texas | ||
| A&M University--Corpus Christi; and | ||
| WHEREAS, SSS-STEM is part of the university's Programs for | ||
| Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the | ||
| goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, | ||
| first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving a | ||
| Rising Star Award, Ms. Adebayo was recognized for her notable | ||
| record of academic achievement as a student majoring in a science, | ||
| technology, engineering, or mathematics field of study; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A first-generation college student, Ms. Adebayo | ||
| completed an associate degree in arts and medical sciences, and she | ||
| is working toward a bachelor's degree in nursing; after graduating, | ||
| she plans to pursue a master's degree in nursing anesthesia and | ||
| aspires to eventually earn a doctorate in the health care field; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mistura Adebayo is indeed deserving of this | ||
| prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with | ||
| promise; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Mistura Adebayo on her receipt of a | ||
| Student Support Services--STEM Rising Star Award and extend to her | ||
| sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Adebayo as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
