	H.R. No. 1986



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
	many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this
	significant honor by Zachary Godlewski of Houston also heralds a
	future bright with opportunity and promise; and
	WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has mastered a number of
	important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has
	earned merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as
	first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has
	gained experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking his
	Eagle Scout project; he organized his troop to complete much-needed
	renovations at the Manna Thrift Store and solicited donations of
	materials from a home improvement store; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Godlewski has further contributed to his
	community as a volunteer at the Star of Hope Mission and as a
	participant in Relay for Life, and he has worked as a day camp
	counselor for children ages 6-13 for the past four summers;
	moreover, this talented young man has been nationally recognized
	for his skateboarding skills, which he has honed since childhood;
	and
	WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
	attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Zachary Godlewski has
	demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the organization and its
	ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the
	way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore,
	be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Zachary Godlewski on
	achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best
	wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Godlewski as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
