| WHEREAS, Members of the Rockwall County Republican Women are | ||
| gathering in Austin on April 16, 2015, to celebrate the Texas | ||
| Federation of Republican Women Legislative Day at the Capitol; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 1976, this notable club is dedicated to | ||
| advancing conservative principles and helping Republican | ||
| candidates win elected office; the RCRW also works to educate | ||
| voters about key issues and legislation, and its members promote | ||
| the standing of women by encouraging their involvement in political | ||
| matters; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The RCRW also supports a number of worthwhile causes | ||
| in the local area, hosting yard sales and other fund-raisers and | ||
| providing assistance to several nonprofit organizations; moreover, | ||
| the group annually awards a scholarship to three students in the | ||
| Rockwall Independent School District; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through their grassroots advocacy, members of the | ||
| Rockwall County Republican Women are making a lasting difference in | ||
| their community, state, and nation, and they may take justifiable | ||
| pride in the exemplary model of citizenship they have set for their | ||
| fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend the members of the Rockwall County | ||
| Republican Women on their outstanding civic engagement and extend | ||
| to them sincere best wishes for an informative and enjoyable visit | ||
| to Austin; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
