| WHEREAS, Harmony-Soleil Clemmons has been presented with a | ||
| Rising Star Award from the TRIO Islanders Organization at Texas A&M | ||
| University--Corpus Christi; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The TRIO Islanders Organization is part of the | ||
| university's Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) | ||
| initiative, which furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing | ||
| resources to low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented | ||
| students; in receiving a Rising Star Award, Harmony-Soleil was | ||
| recognized for excelling both in and outside the classroom in all | ||
| her endeavors; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Kianna Sills, Harmony-Soleil is a | ||
| first grader at Smith Elementary School, where she is on the AB | ||
| honor roll; she is also a Daisy in her Girl Scout troop, and she | ||
| wants to be a large animal veterinarian when she grows up; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Harmony-Soleil Clemmons is indeed deserving of this | ||
| prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with | ||
| promise; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Harmony-Soleil Clemmons on her | ||
| receipt of a TRIO Islanders Organization Rising Star Award and | ||
| extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Harmony-Soleil as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
