R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Six talented vocalists from Reicher Catholic High
School in Waco were named to the Texas Music Educators Association
All-Region Choir in 2014; and
WHEREAS, Selection to the All-Region Choir represents a
distinctive honor for choir students in Texas, who advance to this
level by achieving top performance ratings in their region as
determined by a panel of TMEA judges; the students from Reicher
Catholic High School chosen for the ensemble were Jake Ochoa, Grace
Banik, Kaleigh Scott, Lucy Coursey, Nikki Thornton, and Jake
Alvarez; and
WHEREAS, These gifted young Texans have demonstrated their
commitment to excellence through hard work and many hours of
practice, and they can take justifiable pride in their outstanding
achievement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jake Ochoa, Grace Banik, Kaleigh
Scott, Lucy Coursey, Nikki Thornton, and Jake Alvarez on their
selection as TMEA All-Region Choir members and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
for the students as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
of Representatives.
