WHEREAS, The athletes on the Pilot Point eighth grade girls' | ||
track and field team earned the admiration of their school and | ||
community by winning the 2013 District 12-2A championship; and | ||
WHEREAS, Demonstrating consistency, commitment, and an | ||
undeniable will to win, the squad benefited from outstanding | ||
performances across a number of events; and | ||
WHEREAS, Members of the 2012-2013 Pilot Point team include | ||
Breanna Lang, Julie Zepeda, Hannah Daves, Camryn Chandler, Breanna | ||
Blumberg, Jordan Elmiger, Abagail Trowbridge, Madison Shaw, | ||
Maranda White, Stephanie Pickett, Kathy Zepeda, Carrie Haynes, | ||
Tanna Tuinei, Jordi David, Shannon Funck, Diana Juarez, Hannah | ||
Sullivan, and Mercedez Lane; and | ||
WHEREAS, Winning a district title represents the culmination | ||
of countless hours of hard work, and these notable young Texans may | ||
indeed reflect with pride on this memorable achievement; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate the Pilot Point eighth grade girls' | ||
track and field team on winning the District 12-2A title and extend | ||
to the team's members and coaching staff sincere best wishes for the | ||
future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared | ||
for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of | ||
Representatives. | ||
