R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Gloria and Bert Turner of Lubbock celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on December 29, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Bert Turner and the former Gloria Lammert exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Sagerton on that memorable day in 1962, and
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a
devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Turner count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their son, Jay Turner, and his wife,
Julie, as well as a grandchild, with whom they treasure sharing the
many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Gloria and
Bert Turner can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gloria and Bert Turner on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Turner as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
