R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A delegation from Harmony Science Academy of Laredo
is visiting the State Capitol on January 26, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Serving nearly 15,000 students at 27 campuses
throughout the Lone Star State, Harmony Science Academy charter
schools are dedicated to helping young Texans achieve their full
potential in all subjects, with special emphasis on mathematics,
science, and computer technology; and
WHEREAS, Harmony Science Academy of Laredo is rated
Exemplary, distinguishing itself as the only middle school, one of
two high schools, and one of nine elementary schools in the city to
earn the Texas Education Agency's highest ranking; statewide,
students have excelled in competition and earned a host of top TEA
Gold Performance Acknowledgements; and
WHEREAS, Committed to its innovative, high quality system of
education, Harmony Science Academy is building a solid foundation
for the future achievement of many young Texans; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby welcome the visitors from Harmony Science
Academy of Laredo and extend to them sincere best wishes for a
memorable and educational stay in Austin; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
