WHEREAS, Members of the National Association of Insurance and | ||
Financial Advisors-Texas (NAIFA-Texas) are gathering in Austin on | ||
February 1, 2011, for their legislative day at the Capitol; and | ||
WHEREAS, Founded in 1925, NAIFA-Texas, formerly known as the | ||
Texas Association of Life Underwriters, is composed of more than | ||
3,000 members statewide; the group's mission is to advocate for a | ||
positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business | ||
and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of its | ||
members; and | ||
WHEREAS, The association currently benefits from the | ||
leadership and expertise of president Cylinda Clark, political | ||
involvement chairs Lane Boozer, LUTCF, and Kirk Haworth, CLU, ChFC, | ||
and the board of directors, who represent 287 years of association | ||
membership; and | ||
WHEREAS, NAIFA-Texas is a vital group of professionals who | ||
consistently work in behalf of consumers and businesses to advance | ||
financial independence and reliable insurance, and its legislative | ||
day provides a fitting opportunity to recognize its members and | ||
congratulate the organization on its 86th anniversary; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby welcome members of the National Association of | ||
Insurance and Financial Advisors-Texas to the State Capitol on the | ||
occasion of NAIFA-Texas' legislative day and commend its membership | ||
for the association's long and impressive history of achievements; | ||
and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
