WHEREAS, The Barbers Hill Independent School District has | ||
been designated as one of the Best Communities for Music Education | ||
for 2023 by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, Now in its 24th year, the Best Communities for Music | ||
Education designation recognizes school districts across the U.S. | ||
for their outstanding achievements in providing access to music | ||
education for all students; and | ||
WHEREAS, Barbers Hill ISD has received this notable honor for | ||
eight years in a row; the district's fine arts program offers a | ||
range of music programs, including marching band and choir, and its | ||
students put on a number of performances each year and compete in | ||
Texas Music Educators Association and University Interscholastic | ||
League contests; and | ||
WHEREAS, Barbers Hill ISD has created a learning environment | ||
that nurtures the musical talent and creativity of its students, | ||
and through its pursuit of excellence, the district has earned | ||
well-deserved status as a national model for music programs; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate the Barbers Hill Independent | ||
School District on receiving a 2023 Best Communities for Music | ||
Education designation from the National Association of Music | ||
Merchants Foundation and extend to all those associated with the | ||
district sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Barbers Hill ISD as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
