WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may | ||
temper the profound sadness felt at the loss of Joy Allen Oliver of | ||
Lorena, who passed away on March 16, 2011, at the age of 64; and | ||
WHEREAS, Born on May 5, 1946, Ms. Oliver was the devoted | ||
mother of four children, Jody, Larry, Shawn, and Tami; with the | ||
passing years, she had the added pleasure of welcoming into her | ||
family nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; she also | ||
cherished the company of her beloved dog, Jack; and | ||
WHEREAS, Joy Oliver touched innumerable hearts with her | ||
kindness and her ever-present smile, and she will be fondly | ||
remembered and deeply missed by all those who had the good fortune | ||
to share in the richness of her life; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Joy Allen Oliver and | ||
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her sons, | ||
Jody, Larry, and Shawn Oliver; to her daughter, Tami Oliver; to her | ||
grandchildren, Nannette, Greg, Amanda, Justin, Jordan, Chase, | ||
Logan, Gracie, and Lillie; to her great-grandchildren, Breonna, | ||
Marchal, and Hunter; to her sisters, Penny Willis and Jeanne Walker | ||
and her husband, Everett; to her lifelong friend, Sheila Clendenen; | ||
and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Joy Allen | ||
Oliver. | ||
