R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Sulphur Springs Chamber of Commerce
  Adult Leadership Class are visiting the State Capitol on May 10,
  2011, to gain further insight into the workings of state
  government; and
         WHEREAS, The adult leadership class is an exceptional
  nine-month program that provides opportunities for participants to
  develop leadership skills and increase their knowledge of important
  public issues; and
         WHEREAS, Meetings inspire the spirit of activism and cover
  such topics as the local economy, education, county government, law
  enforcement, health, and tourism; since its establishment in 1989,
  the program has graduated nearly 400 participants; and
         WHEREAS, Endeavoring to foster a more informed and involved
  citizenry and to develop new leaders in North Texas, the Sulphur
  Springs Leadership Class is helping to build a brighter and more
  promising future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby welcome the members of the Sulphur Springs
  Chamber of Commerce Adult Leadership Class to the State Capitol and
  extend to them sincere best wishes for a memorable visit to Austin;
  and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
