| WHEREAS, Kelsey Lammons has ably served her fellow Texans as | ||
| a policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu | ||
| during the 86th Legislative Session; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lammons has provided | ||
| vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, | ||
| such as researching, responding to constituents, and attending | ||
| hearings and briefings; in addition to gaining valuable experience | ||
| in the field of public service, she has learned more about the | ||
| legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star | ||
| State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A student at The University of Texas at Austin, | ||
| Ms. Lammons is graduating in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in | ||
| social work as well as a certificate in public policy; she has | ||
| served as a research assistant at University College Dublin and as a | ||
| student fellow and peer mentor through the Austin City Hall Fellows | ||
| Program, and she is currently a BSW intern for the Texas Center for | ||
| Disability Studies; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her | ||
| duties as a policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is | ||
| indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Kelsey Lammons for her service as a | ||
| policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and | ||
| extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her | ||
| endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Lammons as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
