WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Computer Education Association | ||
are gathering in Austin from February 2 through 6, 2015, for the | ||
35th annual TCEA Convention and Exposition; and | ||
WHEREAS, Established in 1980, TCEA is dedicated to improving | ||
teaching and learning through the integration of technology into | ||
prekindergarten through 12th grade classes; its membership | ||
includes administrators, teachers, students, and community leaders | ||
who are united by their shared purpose; and | ||
WHEREAS, TCEA contributes to Texas education by advocating | ||
for policies that support teachers and administrators; it offers | ||
many professional development courses for educators as well as | ||
scholarships for students pursuing a career in higher education; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, Technology is of ever-increasing importance to | ||
students in this information age, and the efforts of TCEA help to | ||
ensure that young Texans acquire the knowledge and skills necessary | ||
to build a brighter future; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby recognize the Texas Computer Education | ||
Association and extend to its members sincere wishes for continued | ||
success with their important work; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for TCEA as an expression of high regard by the Texas House | ||
of Representatives. | ||
