| WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of | ||
| mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Clifton and Ann | ||
| Notgrass celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on | ||
| August 30, 2016; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Cliff Notgrass and the former Ann Vyvial were joined | ||
| in matrimony in 1951 at the First Baptist Church in Channelview; | ||
| over the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that | ||
| includes their four children and their children's spouses, Ned and | ||
| Lorene Notgrass, Bob Notgrass, Drs. David and Patty Notgrass, and | ||
| Sheila and Rick Higgs, as well as five grandchildren and five | ||
| great-grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Valued members of their community, the couple are | ||
| both currently retired after years of dedicated service in their | ||
| respective careers; Mr. Notgrass was an employee of the United | ||
| States Postal Service, and Mrs. Notgrass worked for Texas State | ||
| Technical College; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Notgrass have enjoyed six and a half | ||
| decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they are | ||
| among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a | ||
| lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Clifton and Ann Notgrass on their | ||
| 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
