	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Pete Jaramillo was named Man of the Year by the
	Progress Times and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce at the
	annual Citizens Awards banquet in October 2016; and
	WHEREAS, Each year, the Mission chamber and the Progress
	Times recognize outstanding citizens for their efforts to benefit
	the local community; and
	WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life as owner of Pete
	Jaramillo Insurance Services, Mr. Jaramillo has given generously
	of his time and talents to many worthwhile local organizations; he
	has been a member of the boards of Leadership Mission and the
	Mission Historical Museum, with his membership on the museum board
	including his recent service presiding as board chair; he has also
	taken on active roles with the Mission Economic Development
	Corporation and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, Through his exceptional contributions, Pete
	Jaramillo has helped make Mission an even better place in which to
	live and work, and he is indeed deserving of this notable honor;
	now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Pete Jaramillo on his selection as
	the 2016 Man of the Year by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce
	and the Progress Times and extend to him sincere best wishes for
	continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Jaramillo as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
