WHEREAS, Patricia Wright is retiring from Trinity Valley | ||
School in Fort Worth in May 2019, drawing to a close an outstanding | ||
career that has spanned more than three decades; and | ||
WHEREAS, An upper school Spanish teacher, Patty Wright has | ||
enjoyed sharing her passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic | ||
culture with generations of students; in addition to her classroom | ||
duties, she has served as the National Honor Society faculty | ||
sponsor, and she has chaperoned student trips to Spain, Washington, | ||
and Central Texas; moreover, she has been actively involved with | ||
Project Angel Tree as community service sponsor; and | ||
WHEREAS, Before joining Trinity Valley in 1987, Mrs. Wright | ||
taught Spanish in the Crowley Independent School District as well | ||
as in several other cities; she holds a bachelor's degree from Texas | ||
Christian University; and | ||
WHEREAS, Patty Wright has embodied the spirit of service and | ||
commitment that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, and she may | ||
indeed take pride in a career well spent as she embarks on the next | ||
exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Patricia Wright on her retirement | ||
from Trinity Valley School and extend to her sincere best wishes for | ||
the future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mrs. Wright as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
