| WHEREAS, Employees of Methodist Dallas Medical Center and | ||
| members of the local community are taking part in the 32nd Annual | ||
| National Night Out crime and drug prevention observance on October | ||
| 6, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By joining together in this important initiative, | ||
| participants are raising awareness of crime and drug prevention | ||
| strategies and encouraging support for anticrime programs while | ||
| strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community | ||
| partnerships; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1984, National Night Out has | ||
| grown to include more than 37 million people in the United States | ||
| and Canada, and each year, Texans show their support through a | ||
| variety of activities around the state; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Methodist Dallas Medical Center event provides | ||
| an opportunity for hospital staff and area residents to educate | ||
| themselves about crime prevention and to reaffirm their commitment | ||
| to making their community an even safer place in which to live and | ||
| work; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commemorate the Methodist Dallas Medical Center | ||
| National Night Out crime and drug prevention observance and extend | ||
| to all those involved sincere best wishes for a productive and | ||
| enjoyable event. | ||
