	H.R. No. 1473



	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Colby Nichols, a senior at Quitman High School,
	received his Lone Star Farmer degree at the 82nd Texas FFA
	Convention in July 2010; and
	WHEREAS, The Lone Star Farmer is the highest degree bestowed
	on FFA members at the state level; in the course of meeting the
	degree's demanding criteria, Mr. Nichols participated in a
	supervised agricultural program, performed more than 25 hours of
	community service, and maintained a high academic standard; and
	WHEREAS, The son of Tracy and Misti Nichols, this fine young
	Texan has been active in FFA for four years; he has competed at the
	district, regional, and state levels and has won the respect and
	admiration of his fellow members for his commitment and enthusiasm;
	and
	WHEREAS, The dedication to excellence and perseverance in the
	pursuit of his goals that Mr. Nichols has demonstrated has proven
	him worthy of FFA's highest state honor, and he may indeed reflect
	with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Colby Nichols on his receipt of the
	FFA Lone Star Farmer degree and extend to him sincere best wishes
	for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Nichols as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
