| WHEREAS, A caring and generous life drew to a close with the | ||
| passing of Magdalena Sanchez Zapata on January 15, 2021, at the age | ||
| of 56; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Damacio and Maria Elena Garza | ||
| Sanchez, the former Maggie Sanchez was born on March 9, 1964, in | ||
| Robstown, and grew up with five siblings, Esmeralda, Julian, | ||
| Alfredo, Edward, and Guadalupe; a pharmacy technician, she enjoyed | ||
| a successful career with CVS; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Zapata shared a rewarding marriage with her | ||
| husband of 37 years, Guillermo, and she took great pride in her | ||
| children, William, Jennifer, and Kimberly; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her family, her friends, and her | ||
| faith, Maggie Zapata touched countless lives with her warmth and | ||
| kindness, and she will forever be a source of inspiration to those | ||
| she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory | ||
| of Magdalena Sanchez Zapata and extend sincere condolences to all | ||
| who mourn her passing; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Maggie | ||
| Zapata. | ||
