	H.R. No. 1426



	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Wild Hog Hunt Committee of the Gilmer Area
	Chamber of Commerce has been recognized with the chamber's 2010 Top
	Hand Award for organizing the inaugural Upshur County Hog Wild
	Hunting Tournament; and
	WHEREAS, The Gilmer Area Chamber of Commerce presents the Top
	Hand Award to a chamber committee that has excelled in its mission;
	the members of the Wild Hog Hunt Committee were tasked with staging
	the hunt as a fund-raiser, and in less than three months' time they
	had everything ready; held on April 9-11, 2010, the successful
	tournament raised money for the chamber while helping to cull the
	growing population of feral hogs, which have become a problem
	across the state; and
	WHEREAS, Led by Chair Jeff Dodd, the other volunteers who
	made up the committee were Jim Barnhart, Michael Blanks, Ike
	Fluellen, Troy Murray, Becky Skinner, Byron Spencer, Mike Spencer,
	Brandon Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, and Chane Young; and
	WHEREAS, Through their hard work and deft organizational
	skills, the members of the Wild Hog Hunt Committee have both helped
	to further the programs of the Gilmer Area Chamber of Commerce and
	directly assisted their community, and they can indeed take pride
	in a job well done; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate the Wild Hog Hunt Committee of the
	Gilmer Area Chamber of Commerce on receiving that organization's
	Top Hand Award and extend to the committee members sincere best
	wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for the committee as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
