| WHEREAS, Prosper United Methodist Church has set an inspiring | ||
| example of community involvement by hosting the annual Kids Against | ||
| Hunger meal-packing event on March 23, 2017, at Cockrell Elementary | ||
| School; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Together with other local volunteers, members of | ||
| Prosper UMC packaged more than 26,000 meals for Kids Against | ||
| Hunger, a nonprofit organization that provides food for | ||
| malnourished children and their families; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through its partnership with Kids Against Hunger, | ||
| Prosper United Methodist Church has made a meaningful difference in | ||
| the lives of countless individuals, and it is truly a pleasure to | ||
| honor its noteworthy contributions; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Prosper United Methodist Church for its | ||
| dedicated efforts in behalf of Kids Against Hunger and extend to its | ||
| members sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
