R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Mallory VanMeter of El Paso Community College has
  greatly benefited her fellow students through her service as
  secretary of the Student Government Association; and
         WHEREAS, The EPCC Student Government Association acts as the
  voice of the student body to the college administration, with
  elected members representing the interests and concerns of their
  peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization also
  provides leadership and professional development opportunities as
  participants strive to improve the school's social and educational
  experience; and
         WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the EPCC Student
  Government Association facilitates communication between students,
  administration, faculty, staff, and community organizations; and
         WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable
  role in supporting El Paso Community College students as they
  develop a solid educational foundation for future achievement, and
  Mallory VanMeter is indeed worthy of recognition; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Mallory VanMeter for her service as
  secretary of the Student Government Association at El Paso
  Community College and extend to her sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. VanMeter as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
