	H.R. No. 1306



	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Iglesia de Jesucristo Palabra Miel is serving as a
	Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site during the 2013 tax season;
	and
	WHEREAS, Certified by the Internal Revenue Service, VITA
	centers offer free income tax preparation and filing for low- to
	moderate-income individuals; and
	WHEREAS, The program was established in 1971 by a small group
	of dedicated accounting students, and since that time it has grown
	to include sites nationwide, where trained volunteers help tens of
	thousands of taxpayers each year; and
	WHEREAS, By operating as a VITA center, Iglesia de Jesucristo
	Palabra Miel is providing important financial assistance to North
	Texas residents, and it is indeed a pleasure to recognize those who
	carried out this outstanding community service initiative; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
	Legislature hereby honor Iglesia de Jesucristo Palabra Miel for
	hosting a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site and commend all
	those who have volunteered their time and resources to benefit the
	program; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Iglesia de Jesucristo Palabra Miel as an expression of
	high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
