WHEREAS, The Liberty Christian School volleyball team once | ||
again reached the pinnacle of success by winning the 2023 TAPPS 5A | ||
state championship on November 10th, 2023; and | ||
WHEREAS, The team of sixteen girls and three managers ended | ||
their incredible season with a record of thirty five wins and only | ||
seven losses; and | ||
WHEREAS, Following a successful regular season, the Lady | ||
Warriors dominated their exciting playoff run by sweeping Lutheran | ||
South High School in all three games; and | ||
WHEREAS, These talented athletes were guided during their | ||
championship quest by head coach Megan Degroot and assistant | ||
coaches Madyson Hillis, Matti Dabovich, and Shannon Tauaefa; and | ||
WHEREAS, Winning a state championship represents the | ||
culmination of countless hours of hard work and an unwavering | ||
commitment to excellence, and these talented student-athletes will | ||
treasure the memory of this accomplishment for the rest of their | ||
lives; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate the Liberty Christian School | ||
volleyball team on winning the 2023 TAPPS 5A state championship for | ||
a second year in a row and extend to the team's players, coaches, | ||
and staff sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
