H.R. No. 1213

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jesse Fuentes was named the 2018 Volunteer of the
Year by the Corpus Christi Police Department in recognition of his
outstanding service; and
WHEREAS, For nearly eight years, Mr. Fuentes has volunteered
to help the department's Narcotics and Vice Investigations Division
by researching closed drug cases and identifying seized drugs that
are eligible for destruction; and
WHEREAS, In 2018, Mr. Fuentes researched more than 4,470
cases, and thanks to his contributions, the division was able to
destroy some 4,800 pieces of drug evidence during nine operations;
and
WHEREAS, The dedicated and painstaking efforts of
Mr. Fuentes have greatly benefited the mission of the Corpus
Christi Police Department, earning him the respect and admiration
of the department's officers and staff; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jesse Fuentes on being named the
Corpus Christi Police Department's 2018 Volunteer of the Year and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his
important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Fuentes as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
