| WHEREAS, James Lovett of Bay City, a retired game warden, | ||
| passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving his loved | ||
| ones with a wealth of memories to cherish; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born on October 22, 1955, Jim Lovett was the son of | ||
| William and Dorothy Lovett and the brother of seven siblings, Joe, | ||
| Anne, Kathleen, Mary, Laura, Amy, and Teresa; after graduating from | ||
| Jasper High School in 1973, he enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State | ||
| University and earned his bachelor's degree in 1979; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Lovett was a longtime resident of Bay City, | ||
| where he served his fellow citizens for over two decades as a Texas | ||
| game warden; during his leisure hours, he took pleasure in hunting, | ||
| fishing, and playing golf, and he also loved race cars; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Jim Lovett lived an honorable life of service to his | ||
| fellow Texans, and he will always be remembered with admiration and | ||
| affection by those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory | ||
| of James Lovett and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his | ||
| family: to his mother, Dorothy Lovett; to his brother, Joe Lovett; | ||
| to his sisters, Anne Williams and her husband, Gary, Kathleen | ||
| Hughes and her husband, David, Mary Mitchell and her husband, Mike, | ||
| Laura Burnett and her husband, Phil, Amy Racke and her husband, | ||
| Mike, and Teresa McElroy; and to his other relatives and friends; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James | ||
| Lovett. | ||
