| WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of | ||
| mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Jacob and Amelia Way of | ||
| Lubbock celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on March | ||
| 9, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Jacob E. Way and the former Amelia Evans were joined | ||
| in matrimony in 1946 at a ceremony held in Toronto; through the | ||
| years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes | ||
| two children, Douglas Way and the Reverend J. Edson Way III and his | ||
| wife, Jenny, as well as five grandchildren and six | ||
| great-grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Way have enjoyed six and a half decades | ||
| of abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an | ||
| exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting | ||
| commitment; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob and Amelia Way on their 65th | ||
| wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Way as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
