| WHEREAS, A radiant and meaningful life drew to a close far too | ||
| soon with the passing of Dylan Wayne Dorrell of Denton on August 13, | ||
| 2020, at the age of 17; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Lisa and Gus Dorrell, Dylan Dorrell was | ||
| born on February 2, 2003; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Dorrell was an incoming senior at Guyer High | ||
| School, where he was a member of the Class of 2021; a gifted | ||
| athlete, he was a four-year member of the cross country team and was | ||
| known for his strong work ethic and commitment to improving every | ||
| detail of his performance; he also belonged to several school clubs | ||
| and devoted himself to his animation classes; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Admired by his classmates, teachers, and coaches, | ||
| Mr. Dorrell possessed a positive outlook and always had a smile on | ||
| his face; loving and kind, he was a caring friend and never | ||
| hesitated to help anyone in need; he took great pleasure in drawing | ||
| and was an avid fan of Pokemon, Super Smash Bros., and Star Wars, | ||
| even building his own light sabers from scratch; in all his | ||
| endeavors, he charted his own course and was beloved for his | ||
| originality; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dylan Dorrell immeasurably enriched the lives of all | ||
| who had the good fortune to share in his love and friendship, and | ||
| they will forever carry him close in their hearts; now, therefore, | ||
| be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dylan Wayne Dorrell | ||
| and extend deepest condolences to his parents, relatives, and many | ||
| friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dylan | ||
| Dorrell. | ||
