| WHEREAS, Madison Hatfield has been named valedictorian of the | ||
| Class of 2017 at Sunray High School, and she indeed merits special | ||
| recognition for receiving this significant honor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
| intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the | ||
| highest academic standards; Ms. Hatfield demonstrated a thorough | ||
| understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of | ||
| this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable | ||
| high school career; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Melinda Hatfield and the late | ||
| Jeffrey Hatfield, Ms. Hatfield gained the opportunity to address | ||
| her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their shared | ||
| history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During her years at Sunray High School, Madison | ||
| Hatfield earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and | ||
| classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment | ||
| to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future | ||
| for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Madison | ||
| Hatfield, valedictorian of the Class of 2017 at Sunray High School, | ||
| and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she | ||
| begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Hatfield as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
