WHEREAS, Judith McGill, head coach of the volleyball team at | ||
Timberview High School in Arlington, reached a significant | ||
milestone when she recorded her 600th career win on September 17, | ||
2021; and | ||
WHEREAS, The victory came in a match against Summit High | ||
School; the Lady Wolves triumphed in four games, with scores of | ||
18-25, 25-20, 25-18, and 25-21 to lift Coach McGill to a new level | ||
of success; in recognition of her achievement, she was presented | ||
with a plaque by Mansfield Independent School District and campus | ||
administrators; and | ||
WHEREAS, Coach McGill embarked on her career more than 30 | ||
years ago, and she has spent the past two decades with Mansfield | ||
ISD; before taking the helm of the Timberview team, she coached the | ||
volleyball squad at Mansfield High School, where she collected her | ||
500th career win; and | ||
WHEREAS, In reaching the 600-win plateau, Judith McGill has | ||
earned a special place in the pantheon of Lone Star State volleyball | ||
coaches, and this rare feat is indeed deserving of commendation; | ||
now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Coach Judith | ||
McGill on her 600th career victory and extend to her sincere best | ||
wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Coach McGill as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
