| WHEREAS, The ninth annual Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown is taking | ||
| place in Eagle Pass in December 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one | ||
| of the organization's state championship cook-offs, this | ||
| much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas | ||
| and beyond; these highly skilled pitmasters put their culinary | ||
| abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in | ||
| several different categories; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The event's grand champion will receive an | ||
| invitation to the American Royal World Series of Barbecue contest | ||
| as well as an opportunity to compete at the Jack Daniel's World | ||
| Championship Invitational Barbecue competition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the | ||
| Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown is sure to offer good food and good times | ||
| to everyone in attendance; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2023 | ||
| Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown and extend to the organizers, contestants, | ||
| and attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event. | ||
