| BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Article VII, Texas Constitution, is amended by | ||
| adding Section 3-c to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 3-c. An agency of the state government, including the | ||
| legislature, or of a political subdivision of this state may not | ||
| regulate the educational program of a private school, including a | ||
| home school, in this state. | ||
| SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be | ||
| submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 4, 2025. | ||
| The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the | ||
| proposition: "The constitutional amendment protecting private | ||
| schools from state and local regulation." | ||
