| WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Highland Lakes are visiting | ||
| the State Capitol on April 13, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Now in its fifth year, the Leadership Highland Lakes | ||
| program is dedicated to educating and motivating future leaders of | ||
| the area; participants take part in a variety of experiences | ||
| designed to enhance their knowledge and abilities and to give them | ||
| tools to respond to needs and circumstances affecting the region; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Members of the program have the opportunity to meet | ||
| with local experts and gather valuable information about business | ||
| and industry, real estate, state and local government, social | ||
| services, tourism, and arts and education; to further develop their | ||
| skills, participants are called on to serve as coordinators for | ||
| future Leadership Highland Lakes sessions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This admirable initiative encourages citizens to | ||
| become more involved in the growth and direction of their | ||
| community, and in so doing it contributes to the future prosperity | ||
| of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the 82nd Legislature of the State of Texas | ||
| hereby recognize April 13, 2011, as Leadership Highland Lakes Day | ||
| at the State Capitol and extend to the members of the program | ||
| sincere best wishes for continued success with their important | ||
| work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Leadership Highland Lakes as an expression of high | ||
| regard by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate. | ||
