| WHEREAS, Dripping Springs Pop Warner is beginning its | ||
| inaugural season in April 2017; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 1929, Pop Warner Little Scholars is the | ||
| largest youth football, cheerleading, and dance program in the | ||
| world, serving more than 325,000 youngsters from ages 5 to 16 across | ||
| the globe; the nonprofit is committed to nurturing well-rounded | ||
| young men and women by emphasizing the values of leadership, | ||
| teamwork, and personal responsibility while also promoting | ||
| academic excellence; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The new Dripping Springs charter is dedicated to | ||
| advancing the mission of its parent organization, and it will offer | ||
| football and cheerleading programs to kids from ages 5 to 12; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dripping Springs Pop Warner is sure to make an | ||
| important and positive difference in the lives of countless area | ||
| young people, and it is truly a pleasure to recognize this | ||
| worthwhile organization; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the 85th Legislature of the State of Texas | ||
| hereby commemorate the inaugural season of Dripping Springs Pop | ||
| Warner and extend to all those affiliated with the group sincere | ||
| best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives and Senate. | ||
