CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Our country's judicial system was founded on the
  principle that every American deserves equal justice under the law;
  and
         WHEREAS, Filing fees create an undue burden on many Texans,
  and the state would benefit from adopting policies to ensure that
  all citizens have equal access to the courts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 84th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby request the Texas Supreme Court to conduct a study of court
  filing fees that considers ways to eliminate such fees; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That the secretary of state forward an official
  copy of this resolution to the chief justice of the Texas Supreme
  Court.
